The new creations in the Épure d’Art collections remind us that Boucheron is not only a great jeweler nor a great watchmaker, but both at the same time, even though the time keeping function of these watches is reduced to its simplest expression to leave more room for the spirit of the Maison: the Joyful Hours and the Imaginary time.
In the spirit of the Florentine cabinets of the Renaissance, each Épure d’Art timepiece brings to life the goldsmith’s work and marquetry which is extraordinary in such a minute space.
Made entirely in mother of pearl marquetry - white for one model, grey for the other - the Fleur du Jour is delicately posed on a bed of diamonds. Every flower petal’s structure is positioned in different ways and bring to plays of light and impressions of relief according to the positionning of the timepiece.
The 41mm case is made of white gold, set with diamonds. The case-back features an opening on the movement - the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture self-winding calibre GP4000 - and the « Je Ne Sonne Que Les Heures Heureuses » engraving.
The watches are fitted on a white or grey alligator bracelet, whose white gold pin buckle is set with diamonds.
