Manero Flyback Chronograph - Carl F. Bucherer
The latest addition to the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback collection combines precious metal with retro charm and watchmaking technology.

The new Manero Flyback Chronograph cuts a timeless figure on the wrist. Taking design cues from Carl F. Bucherer models from the 1960s and 1970s, the timepiece captures the spirit of these bygone eras. The curves of the 43 mm case in 18 k rose gold have been inspired by the watches of those decades, as have the timepiece’s other considered design elements: convex sapphire crystal, mushroom push buttons, perforated rose gold-colored lancet-shaped hands, and wedge-shaped applied indices.

The vintage flair of the new model is balanced by its modern elements. The black sunburst-finished dial pops against the two silver-colored totalizator subdials – a small seconds display and a 30-minute counter – while red accents such as the “Flyback” lettering and the outline of the chapter ring add another contrast. The horological package is rounded out by a slim stopwatch second hand in red, a tachymeter scale, and a date display at 6 o’clock. The strap is crafted from dark gray kudu leather with a suede finish and features red contrast stitching along with an 18 k rose gold folding pin buckle.

Manero Flyback Chronograph

The Manero Flyback is powered by the CFB 1970 caliber automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve, which is decorated with circular-grain finishing and Geneva stripes. Its column-wheel mechanism has a long tradition in watchmaking. Its complex chronograph movement makes starting, stopping, and resetting incredibly easy. The flyback function of the chronograph is also user-friendly: a simple push is all that is needed to reset the stopwatch second hand and get it going again. The beating heart of the watch can be admired through the see-through sapphire-crystal case back.

The new Manero Flyback in rose gold is the eighth timepiece to join this multifaceted watch collection. Variations include a classic model with a rose gold case and a black, silver, or champagne-colored dial, a robust stainless steel model with a silver-colored or blue gray dial, and a retro style timepiece with a black dial housed in a stainless steel case. Each of these chronographs embodies the Carl F. Bucherer spirit of Swiss watchmaking from Lucerne.
