One of five new Petite Heure Minute models launched at Baselworld this year, the "Shiny" model lives up to its name with the sparkle of over 1,200 diamonds.

This "Shiny" model tops the range in the 2014 Petite Heure Minute collection. Crowning a series of models adorned with dials in variations of mother-of-pearl and minerals, this particular model is emblazoned with a total of 1,272 diamonds, for a total of 4.14 carats.

Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute 35mm Shiny

Set in an 18-carat red gold case with a diameter of 35mm and an individual serial number engraved on the case-back (each model is a limited edition, or in the terminology of Jaquet Droz a "Numerus Clausus", of 28), it is powered by the Jaquet Droz 2653 self-winding mechanical calibre that has a 22-carat white gold oscillating weight and offers a power reserve of 68 hours.

The diamonds are set as follows: 685 on the case (2.76 carats), 565 on the dial (1.31 carats) and 22 on the 18-carat red-gold buckle.
