This year, Bedat & Co has enriched its lines with models embodying a graphic design reminiscent of jewellery, expressing its core values through its timepieces: the graceful elegance of a strong feminine personality; respect for traditional craftsmanship; a love of detail and noble materials.
As continuity to the 2010 breath-taking new collection, designed by Dino Modolo, one of watch making's most respected designers and creations director of Bedat & Co, the brand now offers bi-colour declinations of the N°8. More than ever, the brand has taken care of the most delicate finishing.
“Women are transformative – they have different role. So, the watch you create must adapt to and fit all of theses needs. You must bring poetry as well as function to their lives through what your create.” Says Dino Modolo.
The strong, visually impactful Réf. 828, with sporty chic appeal, was designed to address woman with active lives. The round model comes in a choice of two appealing sizes design to adorn feminine wrists. References 827 (26.5 mm in diameter) and 828 (36.5 mm) feature identical designs, while the former is equipped with a quartz movement and the latter with a self-winding movement driving a date display at 3 o'clock.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality are expressed in every facet of the N°8: Worn on a stainless steel and 18-carats yellow gold mesh bracelet or a hand-sewn alligator leather strap, the 827 and 828 models epitomise active elegance. Infinitely feminine, a timeless touch of diamonds enhances the 18-carats yellow gold crown guard.
The bezel is concave, which brings a certain 1930's richness in a very contemporary design. Special care is devoted to the case-backs which are engraved with a decorative border and curved to add a degree of sensuality. Even the clasps have been perfected to make sure they sit directly in the centre of a woman's wrist. Extremely refined, the apparent part of the buckle is modelled after the Bedat & Co signature “8”, symbol of luck and prosperity, in the shape of an hourglass.
These stunningly rare pieces compose an anthem to the scrupulous care and authenticity of Swiss know-how. They express the inherent refinement of Bedat & Co.
