Did you think watchmaking was a magical world with countless facets and infinite creativity? You’re absolutely right. But jewelry surpasses it in every way — it’s a world as grandiose as it is fascinating, sparkling with a thousand stars. We’ve begun to explore it with GEM-T, our new 160-page magazine entirely dedicated to jewelry and to those who have been shaping and polishing it since the dawn of time.

CulTure
Exactly one century ago, an exhibition opened in Paris that would give its name to Art Deco, which went on to become the most iconic movement in the history of contemporary jewelry. A feature article explores this phenomenon at the start of the CulTure section (each section of the magazine plays with the “T” in GEM-T), one of the magazine’s four main parts. Our editorial team also highlights iconic pieces from Bulgari and Chopard, the ethical debate surrounding natural diamonds, the timeless treasures of vintage jewelry, and offers tips on how to avoid common traps. Everyone knows Bucherer as an international watch retailer, but we visited its high jewelry workshops — which have doubled in size and ambition — to reveal the behind-the-scenes story of the creation of a cocktail ring.

LifesTyle
Jewelry and LifesTyle go hand in hand — this section closes the magazine in style with great addresses from Geneva to Paris, a calendar listing must-see events, and an interview with Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Pomellato ambassador and still glowing from her role in Emily in Paris: “I choose jewelry that enhances a personality rather than pieces that overshadow it.”

SelecT
We circle back to the beginning of the magazine with SelecT, a section echoing the latest in jewelry news through short formats and countless photos. From the Cartier exhibition and the anatomy of Gübelin’s “Maison de la Rose” jewel to the 1963 high jewelry set by Graff, not to mention Dinh Van’s 60th anniversary and the evolving spirit of the bangle — now subject to the rule of “never alone”.

Another prestigious house known for its passionate creativity in both watchmaking and jewelry, Chopard graces the magazine’s cover, with ambassador Bella Hadid shining in pieces from the Ice Cube collection. The related Cover Story captures the chemistry between the star’s radiance and the solar brilliance of the Ice Cube line. What a source of pride for our magazine’s first issue!

Trends
The most expansive part of the magazine unfolds over 60 pages, including 20 dedicated to a photoshoot, all under the Trends theme. The poetry of high jewelry meets the creative fusion of fashion and jewelry, and readers learn how “jewelization” has become a driver of innovation, with gemstones spilling into the streets and taking over unexpected spaces. You’ll discover the rebirth of the brooch and the rebellious pearl, and meet extraordinary personalities.
First issue? No matter — Catherine Rénier, CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels, agreed to an exclusive interview:
“Just as the seasons renew flowers, the Maison cultivates its creative garden.” As for Pierre Rainero, Director of Style and Heritage at Cartier, he shares: “When we choose to launch a new creation, we always ask ourselves about its ability to evolve.”

We don’t focus solely on major brands: we also spoke with Parisian designer and gemstone color expert Marie-Hélène de Taillac, and invite you to discover three young female designers shaking up the norms. Dreaming of launching your own jewelry brand or admiring those bold enough to try? So are we — that’s why we asked two entrepreneurs, a man in France and a woman in Switzerland, to reveal their secrets. Captivating!
