Experience the year’s biggest watch exhibition through the new WorldTempus app

Dear WorldTempus family, I don’t know if you’re as excited as we are for Watches And Wonders. It’s hard to explain without giving away everything we’ve planned for you this coming week, but I’ll try as much as possible to do so without spoilers. As you know, we launched our very own WorldTempus web app barely a week ago. And while it was created to be your personal pocket-sized horological companion throughout the year, there’s no doubt in any of our minds that you’ll truly get to experience Watches And Wonders (and other big watch events) on a different level because of it.

Watches And Wonders 2022

Throughout the week, you’ll be hearing first-hand from us with articles bringing you the latest launches and biggest news of Watches And Wonders 2022. In order to get the most out of the deluge of horological information coming your way, nominate your favourite brands using our app and you’ll receive stories about those brands in priority. We’ve also lined up an amazing programme of video content for you, which you’ll be able to watch directly on your phone through our app.

Watches And Wonders 2022

Have you ever wanted to spend one-on-one time with some of the watch world’s most interesting brand CEOs as they go about their day? Our exclusive four-episode video mini-series, WorldTempus Taxi, sees our Sophie put on a driver’s cap each morning and give a different horological personality a ride to the exhibition halls of Palexpo. Remember to tune in each day if you want to hear what Patrick Pruniaux (Girard-Perregaux, Ulysse Nardin), Nicolas Baretzki (Montblanc), Julien Tornare (Zenith), Jean-Claude Biver and Pierre Biver have to share with us while sipping their morning coffee. Let Sophie rev the engines on your daily appetite for watchmaking business insights!

Our managing editor Jordy takes over hosting duties over on social media as he reprises his role as Expo-Recapper-in-Chief. You saw him last year during Geneva Watch Days, delivering the daily summary of each day’s top headlines and happenings; many of you told us how much you enjoyed it. Don’t forget to follow our Instagram account and set your notification alerts so you can watch our daily recaps as soon as they’re online.

Watches And Wonders 2022

Of course, the Watches And Wonders programme itself is packed with activities that you can follow via their online platform. The Morning Show is back, discussing the most exciting trends and hottest topics of the fair. If you want to catch your beloved WorldTempus team in the heart of the action, join me on Sunday and Sophie on Monday as we appear as Morning Show guests during the opinion and analysis segments. And as a follow-up to our WorldTempus Taxi episode with Montblanc’s Nicolas Baretski, I’ll be hosting a panel discussion with him and a special guest (hint: it’s a Montblanc ambassador currently making a big impact in the world of mountaineering) in the Watches And Wonders auditorium this coming Thursday.

We’ve got a hell of a lot going on, and I’m not even close to finishing! Beyond the doors of Palexpo, Time To Watches is a young exhibition in its inaugural edition, featuring a range of watch brands that have attracted attention outside of the mainstream. And that’s not to mention all the other brands exhibiting independently around the city.

If you’re wondering how on earth we’re going to get all this done, you’re not alone. That’s why the final piece of news I’m sharing with you this morning will come as no surprise, given the massive expansion of WorldTempus over the last few months. One pilot can’t possibly fly this jumbo jet on her own, and thus I’m delighted to finally reveal to you something that’s been planned since the beginning of the year — that Sophie and I will be co-piloting WorldTempus together, me as editor-in-chief and she as editorial director. What’s the difference between the two roles? Those who have seen Sophie and me together in action will know at once how irrelevant this question is, given how complementary we are in our strengths and our approach. But that’s enough words for now! Time to discover what lies ahead. S and S will see you at W and W.
