First launched last year, the Watch Photo Awards is open to all fans of watches and photography, whether they are amateur or professional. This year there will be six monthly competitions, from February until July, each based on a particular theme. At the end of each month, the jury - consisting of five specialists and the winner of the WPA 2018 - will select the 10 best photos, then it’s up to the public to vote, on social media, for the best photo overall, which will win an attractive prize. At the end of the six months of competition, another vote will determine the overall winner for the year, who will join the jury for the following year. The 60 photos selected by the jury will be exhibited in Geneva in November and subsequently in other cities.
In October, we head to Dubai!
A special Watch Photo Awards competition is organized for October in collaboration with Dubai Watch Week, of which its fourth edition will be held from the 20th to the 24th of November 2019.
The theme of this competition mirrors that of Dubai Watch Week 2019: “Innovation & Technology”.
Whether you’re a technical geek or simply a watchmaking enthusiast, our “Innovation & Technology”, organized in collaboration with Dubai Watch Week is open to all. Take a photo of your favorite watch and highlight a certain angle, décor, or a technological or innovative aspect.
Participants can send their photos of their mechanical watch to the theme of “Innovation & Technology” to watch-photo-awards.com, from the 1st to the 30th of October 2019. At the end of the competition, the person behind the winning photo will get a two-night stay for two people, with a SPA treatment, at the Bulgari Resort in Dubai.
