Since their launch in 2020, Geneva Watch Days have rapidly become one of the defining moments of the watchmaking calendar. Conceived by eight pioneering brands (Breitling, Bvlgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie., MB&F, Ulysse Nardin, and Urwerk), the event was created as an independent, decentralized, and accessible platform. Today, it further strengthens Geneva's position as the global capital of watchmaking. Here's a look at what the 2026 edition has in store.

This year's expanded support from the Canton and City of Geneva, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), Geneva Tourism, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), and the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) reflects the growing importance of Geneva Watch Days. More than a showcase for new timepieces, the event celebrates watchmaking in all its forms, promotes its culture to the widest possible audience, and creates a space where expertise, passion, and shared experiences help shape the future of the industry.

A packed program

The Pavilion and the Blue Box, both located on the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, serve as the event's two official venues, where the 70 participating brands unveil their latest creations.

Open exhibitions, conferences, educational and interactive experiences, themed Power Breakfasts, and guided tours are all designed to introduce visitors to the world of watchmaking, inspire future careers, captivate enthusiasts and seasoned collectors alike, support tomorrow's watchmakers, and, above all, engage younger generations.

While the Beau-Rivage Hotel remains the main gathering place for industry professionals, several participating brands will also welcome visitors at the Hotel d'Angleterre, the Mandarin Oriental, the Eastwest Hotel, the Swiss Luxury Apartments, or in their own boutiques, showrooms, and dedicated pop-up spaces.

Although these locations are not officially part of Geneva Watch Days, they contribute fully to the city's watchmaking atmosphere throughout the week. Supported by a network of artisans, restaurants, and hospitality venues that reflect Geneva's craftsmanship, they illustrate that the city's watchmaking identity extends well beyond the Pavilion and the Blue Box.

From the opening day, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the art of watchmaking through workshops, watch presentations, VIP guided tours, and invitation-only experiences. The program also features the traditional Caliber Challenge, where participants can try regulating a mechanical movement before it is evaluated by the COSC.

Naturally, each day will wrap up on a festive note, with the Official Opening on September 2 at 6:30 p.m., the Sponsors & Geneva Circle evening featuring DJ Cassius from 8:00 p.m., the must-attend GMT Party on September 3 from 8:00 p.m., and the Garden Party on September 5 from 9:00 p.m.

Conversations that matter

One of Geneva Watch Days' defining strengths is the quality and relevance of the discussions taking place throughout the event. Each morning begins with a Power Breakfast (8:15–9:30 a.m.) dedicated to a major industry topic: in-store hospitality on Thursday, attracting tomorrow's talent on Friday, watchmaking as an investment on Saturday, and brand partnerships and communities on Sunday.

The symposiums explore these issues in greater depth, tackling subjects such as craftsmanship versus industrialized movement production, brand desirability versus product desirability, moving beyond traditional gender divides, and the increasing concentration of the watch market, where 63% of sales are generated by just six historic brands: Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, Cartier, and Omega.

Among the highlights is a philosophical symposium on the nature of time, organized by the Dominique Renaud Foundation and featuring physicists Didier Queloz (2019 Nobel Prize winner), Katie Mack, Janna Levin, and Thomas Hertog. The FHH will once again host its Saturday Brunch & Quiz, the GPHG Tribune will bring together emerging voices alongside François-Henri Bennahmias, and a charity auction conducted by Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo will conclude Thursday evening.

Building on its continued growth, the 2026 edition further expands the Geneva Watch Days format with the ambition of bringing watchmaking closer to popular culture, addressing today's most relevant topics, engaging younger generations, and reinforcing Geneva's position as the world's capital of fine watchmaking.
