A new friend of the brand because of his values of remaining humble and perseverance, Ariel was born in Vancouver (Canada) and grew up in Costa Rica. Known by his nickname of “Tarzan”, Ariel Sexton did not have a normal childhood, but his many trips around the globe have allowed him to become a world class martial artist within the “ONE” championship. During his travels, the pioneer of Brazilian jiu-jitsu from Costa Rica was witness to extreme poverty which has allowed him to remain humble and has encouraged him to maintain a relentless work ethic in order to prepare for the biggest challenge of his career: the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix, including the first tournament he won on Friday 22 February in Singapore.
In partnership with his agent, Hossli Jewellers, and Anonimo’s partner in Costa Rica, Ariel “Tarzan” Sexton made the most of his trip to Switzerland to find out more about the watchmaking brand and launch a new collaboration. After his visit to the villa in Le Locle (Switzerland) late February, the winner of many MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) medals made his way in the evening to Neuchâtel to spend time at the FMA (the Fight Move Academy), to take part in some live sparing sessions with the owner, Nelson Carvallho, a very popular local ex-champion.
From all of his 37 years, this watch making devotee shares the same values of Anonimo which are a joie de vivre and robustness. “I love the fact that I can be as as a watch “Be on time, be precise always combining mind, body and spirit”, he says.
