Early on in his career, Guillaume Tetu became interested in product design, development and manufacturing, leading to a qualification as an Industrial Designer in the mid-1990s. After completing his studies, he was a consultant for Gay Frères, in Geneva, the supplier of metal bracelets to Rolex. It was there that he discovered the world of watchmaking and in 1997 he took his talent to TAG Heuer. Over a period of seven years, he held several positions within TAG Heuer’s product development team and contributed significantly to the brand’s collections.
Guillaume Tetu's dream of creating his own daring and exceptional timepieces that would provide an innovative approach to telling time came true in 2004 with the founding of Hautlence in 2004. As the Managing Director, Mr. Tetu steered this independent watch brand to success. After 10 years at the helm at Hautlence, he was ready for a new challenge, joining Ralph Lauren’s watch and jewelry team at the end of 2015 as Product Development Director. In his new role, Mr. Tetu is contributing to the creative process and managing the development of watches and jewelry in Switzerland.
