Chopard is presenting the latest addition to the L’Heure du Diamant collection, featuring a cushion-shaped case in 18-carat ethical white gold, framing a deep black onyx dial – in keeping with the Maison’s mastery of ornamental stones dating back to the 1960’s.

The bezel showcases 4.40 carats of diamonds in Chopard’s signature crown-setting, joined by diamond-set indexes and 18‑carat ethical white gold hour and minute hands embellished with diamond brilliants.

Completing the composition, the timepiece is powered by the Chopard 09.01‑C self-winding movement, crafted entirely in-house.

Interpreted over the years in a variety of shapes — including the round, oval and cushion silhouettes showcased in these novelties — the L’Heure du Diamant collection embodies harmony, symmetry and enduring creativity, upholding the craftsmanship that earned Karl Scheufele I the title of ‘Master of Jewellery Watches’ in the early 20th century.

Ornamental stone expertise

Chopard enriches this legacy with a new creation showcasing a cushion-shaped case that frames a deep black onyx dial – a testament to the Maison’s enduring mastery of ornamental stone artistry. A distinguished variety of chalcedony, onyx is celebrated for its enduring symbolism of strength and stability. Shaped by the uniqueness of Nature, each dial becomes a singular creation, ensuring no two are ever alike.

Diamonds fit for a crown

A hallmark of the collection, the bezel is distinguished by its generous array of diamonds totalling 4.40 carats, showcased through Chopard’s iconic crown-setting technique – a signature feature that defines these exceptional timepieces. Developed by Karl Scheufele III, this setting uses V-shaped prongs to support the diamonds, maximising light penetration and creating a dazzling halo of flamboyant brilliance.

Adding to this, four brilliant-cut diamonds mark the indexes at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, lending a discreet sparkle to the dial’s velvety depth. A subtle novelty in this model lies in the hour and minute hands: crafted in 18-carat ethical white gold, they are adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, introducing a touch of radiance to the passing of time.

Dual expertise in watchmaking and jewellery

The sophistication of this creation extends to its heart: the Chopard 09.01-C self-winding movement. This 148-part calibre features a 42-hour power reserve, and is entirely designed, developed and produced in-house – a true testament to the Maison’s commitment to excellence. A hallmark of Chopard’s women’s timepieces, this movement embodies technical mastery and innovation, perfectly expressing a duality of character: contemporary vision and vintage allure, strength and softness, beauty and precision.

L'Heure du Diamant collection

Celebrating Chopard’s dual mastery of watchmaking and jewellery, the L’Heure du Diamant collection embodies the Scheufele family’s historic expertise in crafting diamond-set timepieces of exceptional refinement. Inspired by an emblematic 1970 jewellery watch, the collection blends contemporary elegance with vintage charm, pairing sculptural goldwork with radiant diamond settings and ornamental hard stone dials. Over the decades, L’Heure du Diamant has been interpreted through an array of round, oval, cushion, octagonal and heart-shaped silhouettes, each harmoniously balancing aesthetic creativity and precise craftsmanship. Today, the collection remains a shining testament to Chopard’s enduring artistry, where time is told through the brilliance of diamonds.
