Nour La Lumière: A new dimension of time

With Nour La Lumière, AKHOR unveils the Day/Night complication within the architecture of its inaugural collection. More than a new function, it introduces a new narrative dimension.

A third disc now joins the Maison’s patented two-disc construction. Beneath the hands and suspended dial, a large hand-engraved gold/ platinum disc completes one full rotation every twenty-four hours, revealing the passing cycle of the sky. Day fades slowly into night, night returns to day - seamlessly, like the shifting light across the desert horizon.

Dunes emerge in delicate bas-relief beneath a grazing glow. Stars appear suspended within the depth of the night sky. In the foreground, a dromedary and its rider cross the landscape in miniature painting, executed entirely by hand by a master artisan. A pictorial illusion of extraordinary precision, achieved on a surface measured in millimetres.

Time is no longer measured. It is contemplated.

Métiers d’Art - Where Precision Becomes Emotion

La Lumière is, above all, a work shaped by the human hand. Every element of the Day/Night display reveals the mastery of rare and highly skilled crafts.

The disc is engraved entirely by hand, motif after motif - dunes, moon and stars sculpted in bas-relief. Each gesture is final: the engraver’s tool leaves no room for correction. Depending on the version, the disc is crafted in either 5N gold or platinum, two noble materials requiring a constantly adapted touch, each reacting differently to light and to the artisan’s hand.

The dromedary is rendered by hand in miniature painting. Using brushes composed of only a few bristles, the artisan works on a surface only millimetres wide. Layers are applied in a precise sequence - backgrounds, volumes, highlights, shadows - each one drying before the next begins. Dozens of hours are devoted to a figure whose full intricacy reveals itself only under a loupe.

Free to imagine. Free to create. Free to pursue excellence.

Horological Architecture - Three Discs in Equilibrium

The AK10 calibre is a hand-wound mechanical movement developed exclusively for AKHOR and manufactured by CLAMAX. From the outset, it was conceived as an evolving architecture, designed to accommodate major complications while preserving the Maison’s distinctive visual identity.

With Nour La Lumière, it receives its first complication: a 24-hour Day/Night display. The construction evolves from two to three discs - the lower disc, the suspended upper disc protected by the AKHOR patent, and the large engraved Day/Night disc that animates the dial through a complete twenty-four-hour rotation.

The Excellence of the Poinçon de Genève

On Nour La Lumière, the Poinçon de Genève standards apply to every component of the AK10 calibre: the movement’s 126 components, its 12 jewels, the hand-finished fan-shaped Côtes de Genève, the exclusive cushion-shaped screws and the manually finished gear trains. Every detail is subject to scrutiny. Nour La Lumière carries three independent certifications, each addressing a distinct level of excellence.

The AK10 movement is chronometer certified by the COSC, guaranteeing chronometric precision within the industry’s strictest tolerances. Every component of the finished watch meets the exacting standards of the Poinçon de Genève - obtained by only a handful of Maisons worldwide - covering decorative finishing, construction and Genevan origin. And the completed timepiece holds the Chronometer Certificate of the

Observatoire Chronométrique de Genève, a distinction awarded to the finished watch as a whole. Three certifications. One uncompromising standard.

Nour La Lumière is presented in two distinct interpretations, each defined by its own sensory universe. The 18K 5N Gold version evokes the warmth of desert light beneath the sun - that amber glow illuminating the dunes at dawn and dusk. Its 40 mm cushion-shaped case is crafted entirely in 5N red gold, the deepest tone within the gold spectrum. The polished bezel, set with 120 baguette-cut diamonds totalling 4.85 carats, frames the dial with a presence that is both restrained and radiant. The diamond-set 5N gold folding clasp extends this harmony to the hand-stitched blue alligator strap.

The Platinum version expresses another vision of light - the cold, infinite clarity of the desert night sky. Platinum, one of the rarest and most noble metals, lends the case a remarkable density and understated presence, contrasting elegantly with the brilliance of the baguette-cut diamonds adorning the bezel.
