Roger Dubuis pushes, once again, every possible technical limit with the new Excalibur Millésime.

Now welcoming a highly refined complication, the Excalibur Millésime timepiece – belonging to the brand’s hyperwatch segment – is the latest embodiment of this preference. It reflects the key aspect of a collection that aims to offer modern and innovative interpretations of traditional sophisticated complications. An ‘audible complication’, the Minute Repeater is iconic and inspiring, as well as one of the most difficult to develop and perfect.

Complexity and design make a match in this one-of-a-kind timepiece embodying a tribute to Fine Watchmaking. Powder metallurgy technology has enabled the use of CarTech Micro-Melt BioDur CCMTM – a 21st century alloy used in high-tech industries such as the automotive, aeronautical and aerospace sectors – endowing this watch with significantly better resistance to wear and tear than stainless steel. Additionally, CarTech Micro-Melt BioDur CCMTM also displays the valuable property of remaining bright and shiny even when scratched. Its mirror-like properties enable it to collect as much light as possible, while offering the strength of metal enabling it to handle extreme conditions.

Aside from this technology, the 45mm-diameter Excalibur Millésime timepiece is unique from every perspective. The RD104 Calibre gives this watch a 60-hour power reserve and features two micro-rotors. It is one of the rare models to incorporate both a single flying tourbillon and minute repeater. An open dial with a sophisticated two-level construction both reveals the inner workings of the automatic movement and gives the watch depth. A bright blue alligator leather strap offers a snappy finish to match the dial detail. As befits its level of quality, the Excalibur Millésime timepiece bears the Poinçon de Genève hallmark, the standard of watchmaking excellence.
