This year, Chaumet continues to explore the myriad subtleties of the hydrangea flower, through a new creative complication and four precious watches. We present today the new Hortensia creative complication watch.
In this creation, nature, movement and time come together to reveal a floral composition animated by two flowers that orchestrate the tempo of hours and minutes.
Thanks to a new and exclusive self-winding mechanical movement, hydrangea flowers of different shapes and sizes replace the traditional hands.
The titanium rotative central flower, made with 3 diamond snow-set petals, a center with mother-of-pearl cabochon surrounded with diamonds and a translucent enamel petal set with 13 brilliant-cut diamonds,
performs pirouettes as it indicates the hours. The second blossom, dressed in pink mother-of-pearl set with 1 brilliant-cut diamond, moves gracefully around the first, animated by the rhythm of the minutes.
On the dial, the scenography reveals a stylised ode to nature: brought to life in spectacular sculpted relief, the decor celebrates the art of jewellers, engravers, stone setters, hard stone sculptors and enamellers.
The watch is fitted with a white alligator leather strap. The white gold double folding buckle is adorned with 3 hydrangea flowers paved wit 62 brilliant-cut diamonds.
