Visiting watch Manufactures, participating in prestigious events, enjoying new product previews, chatting with the personalities who are shaping contemporary watchmaking and gaining access to exclusive limited editions: an almost impossible mission when you are not part of the inner circle! In this respect, the Fine Watch Club is a real ‘open sesame’ for watchmaking enthusiasts. Created in 2019, the GMT Magazine and WorldTempus club is the first international club for multi-brand watch owners. More than 3,000 passionate members have already been won over by the spirit and activities of the Fine Watch Club, which is expected to double in size by the end of 2022.
As its founder Brice Lechevalier explains: “Our club’s mission is to offer a backstage view of watchmaking to enthusiasts around the world thanks to our network built up over 20 years in Geneva, at the heart of the place where watchmaking took shape in Switzerland. By joining the club, members benefit from advantages that would be difficult to access without our network. They can get closer to the brands with which they have the greatest affinities and that we work with on a daily basis as part of our journalistic activities with WorldTempus and GMT.”
A Series of Events and Limited Editions
In addition to the regular happy hours organized in the Fine Watch Club lounge in Geneva “to talk about watches, to spend time together around the same passion, to discuss know-how, design and technique, the latest watch news and the latest launches”, as Jean-Christophe Teigner, the dynamic Secretary General of the Fine Watch Club, points out, the program is in full swing, punctuated by exclusive invitations to numerous events. The 20th anniversary of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the 20th anniversary of WorldTempus, a private visit to a Jaeger-LeCoultre exhibition in Paris, admission to the Watches and Wonders exhibition, visits to various Manufactures including Omega, Roger Dubuis, Bovet, Franck Muller and IWC, and a private tour of the Oak Collection at the Design Museum in London, one of the world’s most incredible private collections of Haute Horlogerie… Fine Watch Club members are spoilt for choice when it comes to participating in a multitude of events and experiences relating to their passion. After special editions designed with Bvlgari, Zenith, Frederique Constant, Maurice Lacroix and Alpina, the Fine Watch Club continues to develop limited editions in collaboration with manufacturers. Several models will be unveiled in late 2022 and early 2023, notably with Alpina and Chopard. These launches are reserved exclusively for Fine Watch Club members. A top-flight schedule for the second half of the year
Several times a month, members are offered an event or activity with a wide range of brands, small or large, accessible or very exclusive. These can be previews, sporting or cultural events of which the brands are sponsors (such as the Monaco Yacht Show or the Gstaad Open), watchmaking events such as Geneva Watch Days or Time for Art in New York, as well as visits to Manufactures of all sizes.
