WorldTempus introduced this spring the new Métiers d'Art Mécaniques Ajourées collection, inspired by the large central clocks of the European railway stations of the industrial revolution. Following the presentation of the models featuring a blue and a black enamelled ring, here is the reference ref. 82020/000G-9926, whose dial is adorned with a grey Grand Feu opaque enamelled external ring.
Like the other models in the collection, the Métiers d’Art Mécaniques Ajourées grey enamelled ring watch features the first openworked version of an iconic in-house movement: hand-wound Calibre 4400. It took several hundreds of hours to achieve the perfect balance between airy aesthetic appeal and optimal functionality. The watchmakers and artisans of the Manufacture have removed almost half the material compared with the solid Calibre 4400, thus transforming the new movement into an authentic three-dimensional architectural work expressing striking light and
shadow effects.
