SalonQP returns to the Saatchi Gallery in London on 22-24 November under the new ownership of Hearst UK.

The exhibition will host a number of leading watch brands, from premium international names to the most selective independent workshops. The 10th edition of SalonQP will also host a series of immersive experiences, editorial exhibitions, live talks and exclusive evenings – all curated by Hearst UK’s award-winning events team, Hearst Live.

The 2018 experience will feature The Atelier Gallery, a celebration of the craftmanship of fine watchmaking with exhibiting brands including Vacheron Constantin, brought to life with beautiful photography of engraving, hand assembly, polishing and enamelling.

The Atelier Gallery is being curated by James Gurney, Executive Director of SalonQP who founded QP Magazine and SalonQP. “It’s very exciting to join Hearst’s team as they develop and renew SalonQP,” says Gurney. “With Hearst’s creative resources and talent behind the event and a wealth of new ideas, I believe SalonQP will exude a sense of elegance and sophistication. Inspired by the Fondation de La Haute Horologerie, The Atelier Gallery will be the home of fine watchmaking featuring brands that are synonymous with originality, integrity and fine craftsmanship.”

The adjacent gallery will house the Aviation and Exploration Zone, both an immersive experience into the world of adventure and a vintage aviation feature inspired by the Royal Air Force’s centenary celebrations, featuring exhibitors including Panerai, IWC, Breitling, Vertex, Longines, Breguet and Montblanc. Salon QP 2018 will also showcase jewellery, luxury accessories, fragrances and wines in the Harper’s Bazaar Salon gallery.

The SalonQP live stage will play host to a cast of world-renowned experts in their respective fields. Speakers include auction and vintage experts Adrian Hailwood, Chris Youé and Toby Sutton, as well as design experts Christoph Behling and Marco Borracino. Talks will delve into the history of military Panerai, the famed Dirty Dozen watches and the modern phenomenon of vintage Heuer with Justin Hast, Simon de Burton and Kristian Haagen discussing the highs of the past year in the watch industry in an exclusive talk as part of the Friday Night Late evening.
