Purnell's C.E.O biography.

From Switzerland where he was born and where he grew up, Maurizio Mazzocchi has absorbed rigor and pragmatism; from the United States where he studied, he acquired enthusiasm in business and the desire to keep moving forward; from Italy, his father’s country, he inherited a love of style, friendliness and a sense of human contact. An Italo-Swiss, Maurizio Mazzocchi was born in 1967, in Neuchâtel. As a teenager, he followed his father, then President of Tag Heuer, to the United States and accompanied him to trade fairs, immersing himself in the world of watchmaking. His Bachelor of Business Administration from Rutgers University, New Jersey, and his fluency in languages - he speaks five – in 1994 opened the doors to Omega, where he worked in close collaboration with Nicolas G. Hayek and Jean-Claude Biver. From 1996 to 2002, Maurizio Mazzocchi held the position of Director of the Italian Market for Omega and Blancpain before joining the Gucci group in the same year as Managing Director Europe for watchmaking and jewellery. From 2004 to 2006, he took the helm of Roger Dubuis then, from 2007 to 2012, he launched his own watch brand, Maranello, and his activity as a luxury consultant. It was in this context that he collaborated in New York with Jacob & Co., before creating and heading up the Swiss subsidiary from 2013 to 2018. Since October 2019, he has been the CEO of the Swiss company Purnell. Former high-level athlete and passionate about football since a very early age, Maurizio Mazzocchi has played as a professional in various teams in the United States and Europe.
