The absolute refinement of a watch set with countless precious stones, the intense colors of a dial, the way a case “flows” over a wrist, the unique light emanating from a necklace, as well as accuracy and technical innovation… These are just some of the topics that inspire our daily conversations and here is a small but nonexhaustive selection. From daytime watches to evening jewelry (and vice versa), watchmaking and jewelry appear in all their magnificent diversity.

Breguet - Dazzling bright sparks

A flurry of head-turning diamonds lights up the tourbillon mechanism of Breguet’s new creation featuring incredible snowsetting expertise lavished on the dial of the Classique Tourbillon 3358. This gemsetting technique demonstrated inside the motherof-pearl chapter ring consists in randomly placing the diamonds one by one, without any predefined plan, yet in a manner designed to conceal as much of the metal as possible. The result is a model that sparkles all the way through to the gemset bar topping Abraham-Louis Breguet’s ingenious invention. The 35mm rose gold case is also paved with diamonds. The gold bezel, lugs and buckle are also clothed in light, while a rose-cut diamond adorns the crown. (MdP)
