A Fireside Chat With Bovet’s Pascal Raffy

To kick off a year of adventures, WorldTempus’s Editorial Director Sophie Furley sat down with Bovet’s owner Pascal Raffy next to a cozy fire. They discussed the 200th anniversary of the brand and talk about what is to come next, how Bovet is staying relevant for today’s luxury consumer, what makes Bovet stand out from the crowd, and who is the Bovet collector.

A Taste of Behrens

Next, during this year’s WorldTempus on Tour Summer Edition. the team went on a food tasting tour of Athens to experience traditional Greek specialties, while testing the Behrens Starship in all its amazing colours. From aromatic Greek coffee to pies, olive oil, cheeses, cured meats and more. Join us on this culinary journey that also presented the wonders of timekeeping in a way that will make you hungry for both watches and Greek cuisine.

The Cyrus Klepcys Dice Runs the Marathon

Hardly a weekend passes in the summer without a marathon taking place somewhere in the world. The history of the very first race took place on the outskirts of Athens in 490BC when an Athenian Courier by the name of Pheidippides ran from the site of the Battle of Marathon to Athens to inform the city of the army’s victory, before promptly and unfortunately collapsing and dying. The route is somewhat contested. Did Pheidippides pass by the shorter mountainous route, or go the long way around across the plains? To carry out our own research, our two intrepid in-house runners, Sophie Furley and Jordy Bellido, decided to try both routes. Their official timekeeper was none other than the Cyrus Klepcys Dice that can time two runners at the same time.

Greek Food and Watches

One of the beautiful things about travelling to faraway lands is experiencing different flavours and dishes. For this video, the WorldTempus team donned aprons and rolled up their sleeves for a cooking lesson with chef Spyros. Discover how they created a typical Greek dish with timing courtesy of Breitling, Corum, Cyrus, Louis Vuitton, Ralf Tech, Montblanc and Schwarz Etienne.
