Since 1992, Eberhard & Co. has been paying tribute to Tazio Nuvolari (1892-1953), the Italian racing driver of the 1920s and 1940s. That year, it launched the first model in the Tazio Nuvolari sports chronograph collection, which it has continued to expand over the years.
The Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup models refer to the car race created in 1904 in the United States, on Long Island, by businessman William Kissam Vanderbilt and which Tazio Nuvolari won in 1936.
