H. Moser & Cie. "Stealth Mode" Concept

H. Moser & Cie. presents the blacker than black Streamliner

The Streamliner model has successively sported H. Moser & Cie.'s signature fumé dial – the captivating Matrix Green and the famous Funky Blue – each enjoying huge success. For Watches & Wonders Geneva, H. Moser & Cie. is presenting its Streamliner chronograph in a "stealth mode" concept, a revolutionary creation which aims to push the boundaries of Vantablack in watchmaking as well as in other industries. This unique piece will be on show in a special display case at Watches & Wonders, and H. Moser & Cie. is inviting all visitors to come and discover it at its stand.

In the world of watchmaking, H. Moser & Cie. is renowned amongst connoisseurs for its constant innovation. H. Moser & Cie. has accrued several years' experience and expertise in working with Vantablack. After having produced several models featuring a dial in Vantablack, the brand is now testing the limits of this material by applying it to the entire Streamliner Chronograph Flyback Automatic to create a piece that will be known as "Blacker than Black". The Streamliner Chronograph is covered with the blackest substance ever produced artificially, from its dial to its case, right down to its integrated bracelet. Displayed on a stand which is also in Vantablack, it seems to disappear into an infinite black hole. The approach is all the more daring as this model is characterised by its fluid lines and bold personality, which H. Moser & Cie. has taken pleasure in erasing.

Composed of carbon nanostructures and absorbing 99.965% of light, Vantablack is an extremely sensitive and delicate substance to handle. This unique piece is still too fragile to be worn on the wrist, but H. Moser & Cie. is studying different approaches for the future so as to strengthen the structure of Vantablack to make it sufficiently shock-resistant. Its aim is to create a watch that can be worn and withstand the many and varied challenges of daily life.
