In the Spotlight
As of today, the watch universe shines a little less bright. On May 16, at the age of 66, Jean-Marie Schaller left us after an illness that prevented him from partaking at the last Watches and Wonders. Hopefully some of the positive messages written by fans, friends and collectors on a wall during the show for the 220th anniversary of a landmark moment in 1806, when Louis Moinet (1768–1853) created a remarkable clock for none other than Napoleon Bonaparte.
