The first bets have been placed and the excitement is building. One thing is for sure, some brands are standing out from the crowd with the sheer volume of nominations, one such brand is Parmigiani and their Tonda PF collection which has received five nominations and is the subject of this week’s editorial.

Le choix de la critique

Maurice Lacroix

If a brand challenged you to run one of the fastest races on the planet, would you be up for the challenge? Our editorial director Sophie Furley was! She recently accepted the mission to join Maurice Lacroix for the 2022 edition of the BMW Berlin Marathon. With personalized coaching and a good dose of motivation, Sophie was more than ready to cross the finish line with her Maurice Lacroix Tide. Could This Be the Most Dangerous Watch Collab ?

Longines

Discover the new Record Chronograph from Longines. With a vintage aesthetic and elegant style, this timepiece conveys watchmaking authenticity on every level. The Record collection was launched in 2017 in four for both men and women, but this is the first time that the collection has featured a chronograph movement. Another interesting fact is that the automatic movement is COSC certified and includes a silicon hairspring. Discover more about this new vintage-looking chronograph model here

Bovet

Our editorial director, Sophie Furley had the chance to participate in Bovet’s 200th anniversary recently during a day at the brand’s headquarters in the Château de Môtiers. Besides the watches, Sophie discovered a new temporary exhibition in the castle that traced the work and travels of the brand’s original founder, Edouard Bovet. There are letters that he wrote back home to his brother, along with numerous historic timekeepers throughout the brand’s history. It was more than a simple visit, but a real-life fairy tale journey that took her back to another time

Looking Back at 200 Years of History

Eberhard & Co.

Are you looking for a new diving watch? If so, we might have just the answer for you. The new Eberhard Scafograf 200 DLC will not leave you indifferent thanks to its amazing look entirely crafted from black DLC. It is true that for a diving watch it is quite surprising to release such a discreet watch, but this does not prevent it from standing out from the crowd. Indeed, we are used to seeing bright colours such as orange, blue, and green in the diving watch world, but nevertheless, this new version knows how to catch the eye with its stealthy black design

Bianchet Team Test

This week’s Team Test got everyone excited in the office. We had the pleasure to test one of the latest Bianchet timepieces – the Carbon Orange Tourbillon B1.618 Openwork that features a particularly striking design with a modern and imposing orange aesthetic. This isn’t a colour that we typically pair with tourbillons, but the effect is quite spectacular. You can discover what the WorldTempus editorial team had to say here.
